An updated entry plaza to a Medical Services building. The client came to us asking for a calm and gracious entry plaza that welcomes clients and offers workers a pleasant place to get some air during the workday.

Surrounding residential buildings called for a simple scheme to resolve the complexity of the view shed. A simple pattern of banded paving, lined up with a series of custom aluminum planters and plentiful runs of custom benches make up the main elements of the design. Horizontal wood slat fencing and screening echo the pattern of brick cladding on the building and lend warmth.

Plants were selected to compliment existing plantings on adjacent property and add all season interest and softness to the built environment. A roof top soil blend kept the planters light as the plaza is located over a sub grade room..
